With the upgrade, you should expect these performance gains.
Our Piper test aircraft have shown the following improvements:
Increase in climb performance +200 fpm. After takeoff, we typically see 1000fpm climb for the Bold Warrior and 800 fpm for the Cherokee Scout.
Decrease in takeoff roll: -350 ft
Increase in cruise speed: +6 kts (6-10 knots depending on propeller choice.)
Increase in service ceiling: +3000 ft
Range at 75% POWER at 8000 ft: Range increase of 35 miles
Of course nothing is free. To achieve these numbers, expect an additional fuel burn of 1.2 gph on average. There is a 18-24 lb decrease in useful load as the empty weight increases due to the slightly heavier motor and propeller. The STC does not change the Gross weight. There are other STC’s available for Gross weight increases.

Increase in climb performance +800 fpm.
Decrease in takeoff roll: -550 ft
Increase in cruise speed: +16 kts
Expect an additional fuel burn of 1.2 gph on average. There is a 18-24 lb decrease in useful load as the empty weight increases due to the slightly heavier motor and propeller.
